About

Megan is a New York-based performer originally from Collegeville, Pennsylvania. Most recently, she was a swing, dance captain, and Mrs. Lovett cover in the Broadway revival production of Sweeney Todd. Since graduating from Ithaca College with a BFA in Musical Theatre, Megan's career has taken her across the US, Asia and the Middle East, the Caribbean, and to New York City stages. Her favorite credits include the Cats Broadway revival, The Phantom of the Opera international tour as the Christine Daaé understudy, the Evita national tour, and her actor-musician moments playing Reza in Once and a dancer/violist in Soul Doctor. Megan is also a collaborator on the new play The Yellow Wallpaper, directed and choreographed by her sister, Caitlin Ort. In addition to her theatrical career, Megan is a clean energy and environmental justice advocate and holds an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University.
